The first part of a half-hour long documentary created by The U.S. Ecumenical Women’s Network: Beijing and Beyond, in conjunction with the National Council of Churches, at the 4th World Conference on Women in 1995 held in Beijing and Huairou, China. The documentary interviews a wide variety of women who attended the Conference and NGO parallel events, as well as giving clips and soundbites of music, dance, and other speakers at the events, focusing on the question, “Is there a global women’s movement?”
